Booking & payment

From submitting a request to receiving final confirmation and payment instructions.

01
How is my booking confirmed?

Select a departure and available cabin, complete the guest-details form, and submit a booking request. Supraba will verify the live availability and send the final quotation, booking terms and payment instructions. A request is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received and acknowledged.

What is included in the cruise price?

Most Supraba voyages include scheduled airport or hotel transfers to and from the vessel on embarkation and disembarkation days, three meals per day plus snacks, mineral water and selected soft drinks, cruise director and crew service, bed linen and towels, and use of kayaks and paddleboards where conditions allow. Diving voyages also include up to three guided dives per full diving day with standard tanks, weights and belt. Flights, alcohol, personal dive equipment, Nitrox, park and government fees, travel insurance and gratuities are not included. Exact inclusions are confirmed in your quotation and booking documents, since they can vary slightly by route.

Can I reserve a cabin while I arrange flights or speak with my group?

A short courtesy hold may be possible, depending on the departure date and current demand. Holds are not guaranteed and expire unless the team confirms otherwise in writing.

Can I book the entire vessel?

Yes. Private charters are available for families, groups of friends, dive clubs and special occasions. Use the Departures page and choose “Book the Entire Cruise,” or contact the team for a tailor-made route.

When is the remaining balance due?

The invoice and booking terms will show the exact payment schedule. Bookings made close to departure may require full payment immediately. Always follow the dates stated on the Supraba invoice rather than relying on a general website summary.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation charges depend on how close the cancellation is to departure and whether the booking is an individual cabin, group or full charter. Review the current Terms & Conditions before paying a deposit, and arrange suitable travel-cancellation insurance.

Which currencies and payment methods are accepted?

Payment instructions and accepted currencies are provided with the invoice. Bank charges and currency-conversion fees are normally the guest's responsibility. Onboard extras may require cash, so confirm the preferred currencies in your final travel documents.

Are there any mandatory onboard fees?

Yes. A fuel surcharge and park fee apply per person in addition to the cruise Rate, and are payable regardless of the booking type.

DestinationRouteFuel Surcharge (USD/person)Park Fee (USD/person)
KomodoLabuan Bajo – Labuan Bajo100.0035.00/day

These fees are set independently of Supraba and may be revised by the relevant authorities. Current amounts will be confirmed with your quotation.

Flights, arrival & transfers

Planning domestic connections is one of the most important parts of an Indonesian liveaboard journey.

02
When should I arrive at the departure city?

Arrive at least one day before embarkation. Domestic flights in Indonesia can be delayed or rescheduled, and an open-trip departure cannot normally wait for a late guest without affecting everyone aboard. A post-cruise hotel night is also sensible when your onward international connection is important.

Which airports are used for Supraba voyages?
  • Komodo: Labuan Bajo (LBJ)
  • Raja Ampat: Sorong (SOQ)
  • Banda Sea routes: commonly Ambon (AMQ), depending on itinerary
  • Triton Bay: commonly Kaimana (KNG), depending on itinerary
  • Manado: Sam Ratulangi (MDC)

Halmahera does not currently have a fixed scheduled departure. Its dive sites are arranged privately with the boat operator — contact Supraba directly to discuss a Halmahera itinerary.

Crossing voyages may embark and disembark in different cities. Check the individual departure details before booking flights.

Are airport or hotel transfers included?

Transfers between the designated airport or local hotel and the vessel are included on the scheduled embarkation and disembarkation days. The meeting point, collection window and emergency contact number are sent before departure.

Does Supraba book domestic or international flights?

Flights are not included in the cruise price. The team can advise on suitable arrival airports and connection timing, but guests remain responsible for purchasing and managing their flights.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Contact Supraba immediately using the emergency number in your travel documents. The crew will help where operationally possible, but additional transport to meet the vessel may not be available and may involve extra cost.

Voyages, destinations & itineraries

How open trips, private charters and changing sea conditions affect each route.

03
What is the difference between an Open Trip and a Private Charter?

On an Open Trip, you reserve one or more cabins and share the voyage with other guests. A Private Charter reserves the full vessel for your group and allows greater flexibility around daily priorities, subject to weather, permits, distances and safe navigation.

Are the published itineraries guaranteed?

No fixed route at sea can be guaranteed. The captain and cruise team may adjust the sequence of sites because of weather, currents, park regulations, guest safety or local conditions. The goal is always to deliver the strongest possible experience within the circumstances.

Which destination is best for my travel dates?

Supraba moves seasonally through Indonesia. Komodo is generally scheduled during the drier middle part of the year, while Raja Ampat departures are concentrated from late in the year into the first months of the next. Banda Sea and expedition crossings operate in narrower seasonal windows. Use the Destinations page and live departure schedule together.

Will I see every animal or landmark shown on the website?

Wildlife encounters are never guaranteed. Marine life, visibility, weather and access vary from day to day. Photographs represent the character and possibilities of each region, not a promise of a specific sighting.

How many nights are the cruises?

Voyage lengths vary by route—from short Komodo journeys to longer Raja Ampat and expedition crossings. The number of nights, start and end cities, cruise style and total price are shown on each departure card.

Cabins & life aboard

What to expect from your private cabin and the shared spaces around the vessel.

04
How many guest cabins are there?

Supraba has six principal air-conditioned guest cabins with private en-suite bathrooms, accommodating up to twelve guests as standard. Two additional guests can be accommodated by request, bringing capacity to fourteen. Cabin configuration and availability are shown during the booking process.

Can I select a specific cabin?

Yes. Available cabins can be selected from the departure’s cabin-selection page. Cabin requests remain subject to confirmation until Supraba acknowledges the booking and deposit.

What is provided inside the cabin?

Each guest cabin includes air conditioning, a private bathroom, bed linen, bath towels, beach towels, soap, shampoo and storage for personal belongings. Bring any specialised toiletries or medication you require.

Are the bathrooms private, and is hot water available?

Yes. The principal guest cabins have private en-suite bathrooms. Hot-water availability and water use are managed as part of life aboard a vessel, so guests are asked to use freshwater thoughtfully.

Is there electricity in the cabins?

Electrical sockets are available in cabins and shared areas, supplying 220V, 50Hz. The current vessel information lists European-style sockets. Guests travelling with other plug types should bring a compact universal adaptor.

Is laundry available?

Limited hand-laundry assistance may be possible, particularly on longer trips, but it is not a hotel-style same-day service. Bring enough lightweight clothing for the voyage and ask the crew before sending delicate items.

Food & drinks

Meals are an important part of the experience, especially when several days are spent far from shore.

05
What food is served aboard?

The onboard chef prepares three main meals each day plus snacks, combining Indonesian flavours with familiar international dishes where supplies allow. Menus vary by voyage and local availability.

Can dietary requirements and allergies be accommodated?

Yes, with advance notice. Record allergies, intolerances, religious requirements and dietary preferences during booking. Remote provisioning can limit specialised substitutes, so give the team as much notice as possible and repeat serious allergy information when you board.

Which drinks are included?

Mineral water, soft drinks, juices, local coffee and tea are included. Alcoholic beverages are available at additional cost and selection depends on provisioning.

May I bring my own alcohol or special food?

Ask Supraba before travelling. Storage aboard is limited, and customs, corkage or provisioning arrangements may apply. Special celebration items are easier to organise when requested before the voyage.

Diving

Certification, experience, insurance, equipment and the rhythm of a diving voyage.

06
What diving certification and experience are required?

Divers should hold a recognised open-water diving certification. Some destinations involve current, blue-water entries or remote conditions, so Supraba assesses each diver's certification and logged experience against the demands of the planned sites. Contact Supraba before booking if you are unsure whether your experience matches a particular itinerary.

How many dives are offered each day?

Diving cruises may include up to three guided dives per day. The actual programme depends on the route, travel time, conditions, park access and guest safety. Arrival and departure days normally have fewer activities.

What diving equipment is included?

The diving package includes guided diving, standard 12-litre tanks, weight belts and weights. Personal dive equipment, dive computers, Nitrox and 15-litre tanks are not automatically included unless your quotation states otherwise.

Can I rent a full set of dive equipment?

Rental equipment is available by advance request and subject to size and stock. Submit your height, weight, shoe size and required items early. Experienced divers are encouraged to bring personal masks, dive computers and any equipment on which fit is especially important.

Is Nitrox available?

Nitrox is available as an optional extra for appropriately certified divers. Request it before departure so availability and current pricing can be included in your quotation.

Can I complete a diving course aboard?

Selected training may be arranged with advance notice and a qualified instructor, depending on the voyage and existing guest programme. Do not assume a course is available unless Supraba confirms it in writing before departure.

What happens if the dive team considers my skills unsuitable for a site?

The dive team may adapt a dive, require extra supervision or ask a guest to sit out a site when conditions exceed the diver’s demonstrated experience. These decisions are made for guest safety and reef protection. A check dive may be used to assess buoyancy, comfort and equipment setup.

Snorkelling & leisure guests

Supraba is designed for mixed groups, not only experienced divers.

07
Can non-divers join a diving voyage?

Yes. Many routes combine diving with snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding, beach visits and time ashore. Ask about the specific departure if your group includes both divers and non-divers so expectations can be matched to the itinerary.

Is snorkelling equipment included?

Snorkelling equipment is not included but is available for rent onboard at extra cost. Guests with prescription masks or strong fit preferences should bring their own equipment.

Which leisure activities are available?

Depending on the destination and conditions, activities may include snorkelling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, beaches, viewpoints, village visits, short walks and occasional beach meals or barbecues. Not every activity is available on every itinerary.

Health, safety & insurance

Remote voyages require honest medical disclosure and suitable insurance.

08
Do I need travel and diving insurance?

Yes — and Supraba recommends a dedicated diving insurance policy in addition to standard travel insurance, not as a substitute for it. Diving accidents involve highly specialised risks that general travel insurance is often not built around:

  • Coverage designed for diving injuries — conditions such as decompression sickness, arterial gas embolism and other pressure-related injuries are specifically covered by dedicated diving insurance, whereas travel insurance may only cover them under limited conditions.
  • Hyperbaric chamber treatment — recompression therapy is often the single largest cost after a diving accident. Dedicated diving insurance typically covers it explicitly; travel insurance often applies exclusions or low benefit limits.
  • Emergency evacuation from remote areas — diving incidents often happen far from specialised medical facilities. Dedicated diving insurance generally covers evacuation to the nearest suitable hyperbaric facility, which standard travel insurance may not fully address.
  • Clearer coverage certainty — travel insurers often treat diving as a hazardous activity subject to depth limits or certification requirements. Diving insurance is written around normal diving practice, reducing the risk of a claim being disputed.
  • Access to dive-medicine expertise — specialist diving insurers maintain networks of diving physicians and emergency assistance teams experienced in dive-related injuries.
  • Coverage beyond the emergency — many dedicated policies also cover follow-up treatment, rehabilitation and specialist consultations as recovery continues after the initial incident.

In short: the concern isn't ordinary travel-related medical costs, but the specialised treatment, evacuation and expertise a serious diving injury requires. Bring proof of both policies and your insurer's emergency contact details.

What medical information must I provide?

Disclose any medical condition, medication, recent surgery, mobility limitation, allergy or other circumstance that could affect safe participation. Divers may need to complete a medical questionnaire or obtain physician clearance. Keep essential medication in your hand luggage and bring enough for unexpected travel delays.

What safety equipment is carried aboard?

The current vessel information lists life rafts, life jackets, life rings, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, a first-aid kit, emergency oxygen, GPS, depth sounders, radar, VHF and SSB radios, an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), a SART (Search and Rescue Transponder) and satellite data connection. A safety briefing is conducted after embarkation.

Is Supraba suitable for guests with reduced mobility?

The vessel is not currently designed as a fully accessible environment. Stairs, tenders, wet surfaces and shore landings require balance and mobility. Contact the team before booking so the exact needs can be assessed honestly.

Packing, connectivity & practicalities

Small choices before departure make life aboard much easier.

09
What should I pack?
  • Lightweight casual clothing and several swimsuits
  • Sun hat, sunglasses, rash guard and reef-conscious sun protection
  • Secure shoes for viewpoints and shore walks
  • Personal medication and preferred toiletries
  • Universal plug adaptor and camera storage
  • Light rain layer and a small dry bag

Soft-sided luggage is easier to store in a cabin than a large rigid suitcase.

Is Wi-Fi or mobile signal available?

Yes, we have satellite cable — Starlink available. Even with Starlink aboard, remote areas can occasionally see slower or interrupted connectivity, so continuous access for urgent work or banking authentication should not be relied upon.

Are smoking and alcohol permitted?

Smoking is limited to designated outdoor areas. Alcohol is available for adults at additional cost, but drinking before diving is not permitted and moderation is expected throughout the voyage.

Families, solo guests & private groups

Different booking types need different arrangements and expectations.

10
Are children allowed aboard?

Children may be accepted depending on their age, the voyage and whether the booking is an Open Trip or Private Charter. Private charters provide greater flexibility. Parents or guardians remain fully responsible for supervision at all times, including inside cabins, on deck, in tenders and during water activities.

Can solo travellers join an Open Trip?

Yes, subject to cabin policy and availability. Options may include private cabin occupancy or an agreed sharing arrangement. Ask the reservations team about the single-occupancy supplement and matching policy for your selected departure.

Can a private-charter itinerary be customised?

Private groups can discuss diving priorities, leisure balance, celebrations and preferred areas with the team. The final route must still respect seasonal conditions, distances, permits, fuel requirements and the captain’s safety decisions.
